OFFICER TO ASSIST AREA VETERANS
Gary D. Jones, Field Representative for the Kentucky Dept. of
Veterans Affairs, will be available to assist area veterans in Wayne
Co. at the National Guard Armory. He will be there on Tuesday, July
19 from 9 a.m. through 12 p.m. Veterans and their families will be
provided counseling and assistance in filing claims for state and
federal benefits. This is a free service provided by the state of
Kentucky. Veterans should bring a copy of their DD214 with them, if

LIVING WELL WITH DIABETES CLASSES
The Wayne County Health Department will be having free Living Well
with Diabetes classes. The classes will be held on Tuesday from 1 to
3:30 p.m. EST on August 9, 16, 23 and 30 and also on October 4, 11,
18 and 25. There will also be night classes offered from 5 to 7 p.m.
EST with class one on July 18 and class two on September 19.
There will be Graduate Classes for those who have already completed

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL AT FIRST CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE
Vacation Bible School will be held at the First Church of the

MEETING 2011
The Kentucky Foothills Third Annual Eagles Nest Camp Meeting will be

UNITED WAY OF SOUTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY GOLF SCRAMBLE
The United Way of South Central Kentucky 26th Annual Golf Scramble
will be held on August 3 at Eagle's Nest Country Club. There is a
four-person scramble format (golfers must wear collared shirts).
There is a cost of $75 per player or $300 per team which includes
green fees, carts, prizes, mulligans and skirts. The deadline for
entries is August 1.
