Investigation into meth lab results in three arrests

Monticello — An investigation that began in March, when officials discovered a meth

lab in the Alpha community of Clinton County, resulted in the arrest of

Randy Brumley on May 28, according to information released by the Wayne

County Sheriff's Department.

In March, the Wayne County Sheriff's Department and the Lake Cumberland

Area Drug Task Force received information about a meth lab at the residence

of Jack and Tammy Rednour of Alpha.

The Clinton County Sheriff's Department was notified and officers

discovered an active meth lab at the residence. There were children present

at the residence.

The Rednours were arrested and charged with manufacturing

methamphetamine and controlled substance endangerment of a child. Several

children were removed by the Cabinet for Families and Children.

Brumley was present at the residence during the investigation and was

found to be in possession of an unknown substance. The Clinton County

Sheriff's Department presented the case to the Clinton County Grand Jury,

which returned indictments on the Rednours and Brumley.

On May 28, the Lake Cumberland Area Drug Task Force received information

that Brumley had manufactured methamphetamine at his residence in Alpha.

The Drug Task Force contacted the Clinton County Sheriff's Office with

the information.

The Clinton County Sheriff's Office, the Wayne County Sheriff's

Depart-ment, Kentucky State Police and the Drug Task Force traveled to

Brumley's residence to conduct an investigation into the manufacturing of

methamphetamine and to execute the indictment.

Upon arrival, officers located Brumley, a shotgun and several items

consistent with the manufacturing methamphetamine inside of his residence.

The Clinton County Sheriff's Office arrested and charged Brumley with

manufacturing methamphetamine and executed the indictment for possession of

a controlled substance.

The investigation is continuing.
