Monticello — A Wayne County woman was stabbed on Saturday, June 27, after an
altercation that occurred in the Frazer community. According to Kentucky
State Police, Angela M. Sexton, 39, was taken to Lake Cumberland Regional
Hospital and was then flown to the University of Kentucky Medical Center for
treatment of her injuries.
KSP was notified of the incident at 11:26 p.m. Saturday. Police said
that Sexton and Misty D. McGuire were involved in a physical altercation on
Wood Mountain Road when the stabbing occurred.
McGuire, 23, of Monticello, reportedly fled the scene and she is
currently being sought by police.
Sexton was listed in stable condition at the Lexington hospital on
Sunday.
