9-8-10 —
New quilts, antique quilts, a block contest, and a bed turning are just some of the things visitors will see at the annual Contented Heart Quilt Guild Quilt Show set for Friday, September 3 and Saturday, September 4 at The ASPIRE Center.
The theme for this year's show is the Civil War, and the guild will be giving away a lovely Civil War reproduction quilt, which was handmade and hand quilted by the group.
This year's show features an 11 category quilt contest, a bed turning of antique quilts, a challenge block contest, a vendors' mall, quilting classes, and door prizes. Bed turnings will be presented both days of the show and will be at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The Quilt Guild will award over $3,000 in cash prizes to the winners of the juried and judged entries.
The show will be open from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday. There is an admission charge for the event. Children under 12 will be admitted free.
