Monticello Utility Commission Board hears updates on construction projects

2-13-13 —       Board members for the Monticello Utility Commission heard updates on  the construction projects for the new wastewater treatment plant and  water treatment plant during their regular meeting last Thursday,  February 7.

System manager Gene Jones told the board that the wastewater  treatment plant project is about 40 percent complete.

Jones added that the the project is coming along real well and  encouraged board members to visit the site and see how much progress  has been made.

Jones noted that crews working on the new water treatment plant have  been rained out so progress has been slow at the construction site.
