Mat Cardinals win Kingston Duals

Monticello — The Wayne County Wrestling team traveled to Kingston, Tenn. on Saturday,

January 23 to compete in the Brawl by the Lake Duals. Wayne County finished

5-0 on the day to win the tournament. The Mat Cardinals also won their 600th

dual in the programs history by beating Creekwood 75-0.

The Mat Cardinals will be back in action on Saturday, January 30 when

they compete in the Kentucky State Dual Tournament.

The tournament will feature the top two teams from the eight regions in

Kentucky. Starting time is 9:30 a.m. at Henry Clay High School in Lexington.
