TREVA NELL PIERCY PITTMAN

2-6-13 —     Jan. 23, 1929‹Jan. 27, 2013

    Treva Nell Piercy Pittman, age 84, was born January 23, 1929 in the Slickford community of Wayne County, the daughter of the late Raymond and Flonnie Morgan Piercy.  She passed away suddenly, Sunday, January 27, 2013 at the emergency room of the Wayne County Hospital.

    She was united in marriage with Cephas Pittman who passed away January 2, 1991.  To this union six children survive‹Roy Kay Pittman, of Lafayette, Ind., Cecil Lloyd Pittman, of Brookeville, Ind., Faye Burton, Clara Preat, Susan Adams and Billy Pittman all of Monticello.

     Also surviving are 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren; siblings‹Neva Thompson, Georgia Allen, Bernice Black and Mason Buchannan; and a half-brother‹Buster Rains; with many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

    She is preceded in death by her sister‹Bonnie Lank and brothers‹Gene, Bob, Paul Piercy and her half-brother: Cecil Cooper.

    She had accepted Christ as her Savior and was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

     The funeral service was held Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 1 p.m. with Bro. Henry Stringer and Bro. Phillip Drake officiating, burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.

    Hickey & Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
