ARVIN RAY DENNEY

Nov. 30, 1930-Feb. 25, 2010

Arvin Ray Denney, age 79, passed away February 25, 2010 in Muncie, Ind.

He was born November 30, 1930 to Nannie Jane (Rains) Denney and Reverend Arnold Hayden Denney.

He is survived by two brothers-Reverend Eldon Denney and Junior C.

Denney; one sister-Alice Roberts; daughter-Annetta C. Neal; three sons-Lyle Glen Denney, Dallas Ray Denney and Jeffrey Ray Denney; step-daughter-Betty Durrett; grandchildren-Robyn, Lori, Jason, Frank, Charles, Steve, Kerry, Jessica and Crystal; and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brothers-Bob, Roy, and Paul; sisters-Dora Mae McDole and Nora Leta Richardson; and one daughter-Patricia Carter.

He spent his childhood and young adulthood in Wayne County, Ky. As a young married man, he came to Muncie, Ind. to find employment at Indiana Bridge Company. He lived in the Muncie area, the Mt. Summit area and in New Castle at various times. He was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed attending his brother, Rev. Eldon Denney¹s church, in Hagerstown, Ind. He was good hearted and will be missed and is loved by many.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Faith United Baptist Church in Hagerstown, Ind.
