Thomas Nathan Burris, age 22, of Bronston, Ky., passed away August 24, 2009 at UK Medical Center in Lexington, Ky.
He was born February 4, 1987 in Somerset, Ky., the son of Bob and Lois Gale Taylor Burris.
He is survived by one sister-Heather Michelle Burris of Bronston, Ky.; girlfriend-Casie Foster of Somerset; his grandparents-Anna Lee Smith Burris of Somerset and Edna Lois Barton Taylor of Ferguson, Ky.; his aunts and uncles-Doris and James Goff of Somerset, Ky., Debra and Willard Branscum of Delta, Ky., Jennifer and Tim Minton of Bronston, Ky., Sharron and Don Price of Science Hill, Ky., James and Kathy Taylor of Somerset, Ky., and Doyle Taylor (fiancee Susan Niewahner) of Somerset, Ky., Kim Taylor of Bronston, Ky.; several cousins-Kyle Minton, Cassie Minton, Jamie and Latricia Taylor, Toyna and Jimmy Combs, Jessica and Bobby Church, Tabitha Price, Marina Price, Rachael Taylor, Robin and Laurie Goff, and Justin and Jessica Goff, Beth and Chad Curry; and many, many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers-John Burris and James Homer Taylor.
He competed in the U.S.B.C. Junior Gold, National Championship for the past six years, a member of the Collegiate Bowling Association, Lake Cumberland Youth Bowling Association and The Kentucky Indiana All-Star Bowling Team. He was also a certified bowling coach and a student at the Somerset Community College.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jamie Taylor and Bro. David Muse officiating. Burial followed in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
