LARRY GENE THOMAS

Larry Gene Thomas, age 63, passed away November 19, 2009.
He was born August 23, 1946 in Williamson, West Va., the son of the late Jack Neal Thomas and Ruby Wollum Thomas.
He married Trevia Sparks Thomas, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his three step-children-Viola Anderson and Dennis Troxell, both of Monticello, and Thomas Workman of Georgia; six grandchildren-Heather Hicks, Tiffany Morgan, Brian Anderson, Seth Troxell, Thomas and Tyler Workman; two great-grandchildren-Trevia Anderson and Emma Troxell, all of Monticello; and two brothers-Edwin Thomas of Orlando, Fla. and Fred Thomas of Lexington.
LT joined the Army on November 20, 1965 and was honorably discharged by the National Guard on November 20, 1971 where he faithfully served his country to the fullest.
He enjoyed watching football and basketball games and was a huge fan of the Kentucky Wildcats.
LT will be greatly missed by all who had the opportunity in knowing him.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 21, 2009 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Mike Smedley officiating. Burial followed in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
