Ladora Kathleen Campbell, age 90, passed away Friday, January 1, 2010 at Golden Years Nursing Home where she spent her last year.She was surrounded by family and those who loved her most.

She was born October 29, 1919 at Touristville, Ky. She was the daughter of the late Luid Estel and Laura Patrick Brown.

On July 17, 1938 she married Kenneth Campbell at Zula Ky. Kenneth preceded her in death in November of 2004. They were married for 66 years.

From this union she is survived by two daughters-Polly and Charles Denney of Monticello, Ky and Patsy and Gary Hutchison of Frazer, Ky.; three grandchildren-Robin and Fred Piercy of Mill Springs, Ky., Melissa and Kevin Jones of Frazer, Ky., and Mitchell Hutchison of Frazer, Ky.; six great-grandchildren-Amber and Jeremy Rector of Mill Springs, Ky., Knox Piercy of Mill Springs, Ky., Kylie and Titus Jones, both of Frazer, Ky., Sadie Piercy and Taegan Miller of Monticello, Ky.; and a great-great-grandchild-Campbell Rylan Rector of Mill Springs, Ky.; one sister-in-law-Margret Brown of the Betsy community; two sisters-Mary Weaver of Somerset, Ky., Betty and Gene Wright of Monticello, Ky.; one brother-Bobby and Shirley Brown of Monticello, Ky.; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins that love her dearly. This family being very close, she will be missed daily.

She was preceded in death by one brother-Emery Brown; and one great-grandchild-Brittany Lynn Piercy.

She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior on April 1, 1945. She was a lifelong member of Mill Springs Christian Church where she stood strong in her faith. She was song leader, church treasurer, and took other roles for many, many years. She would tell everyone about the Lord and was proud to be one of His children. She was truly a woman of the Lord who lived daily for him. She would share her beliefs and values or be listening ears for those who needed to share theirs. She was always respectful of your opinion.

She was a loving daughter, sister, sister-in-law, mother, aunt, cousin, friend, and ³granny². To have known her was to love her. She was such a blessing. She has touched many lives over the last 90 years. Kathleen was a loving, strong, faithful and caring person who will be thought of daily and missed dearly.

She worked at the Touristville Post Office, L.E. Brown Store, Monticello Mfg. Company, Kennedy Clothing Store, and retired from the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home.

Funeral service were held Sunday, January 3, 2010 at the Mill Springs Christian Church with Bro.Richie Smith officiating. Burial was held privately Monday, January 4, 2010 at the Church Cemetery.
