Vera Mae Kennedy, age 74, of Monticello, Ky., passed away Sunday, August 15, 2010 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She was born December 8, 1935 in New Castle, Ind., the daughter of the late Preston and Ida (Wallen) Bell.
She is survived by two sons-Robert ³Bob² Kennedy and Bryan Kennedy both of Monticello, Ky.; four daughters-Marsha Grier of Wetpumka, Ala., Susan Burkhead of Savannah, Tenn., Darlene ³Linda² Kennedy and Ida Mae Dean both of Monticello, Ky.; one brother-Sam Bell of New Castle, Ind.; one sister-Shirley Saye of Albany, Ky.; 16 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Tommy Nelson officiating. Burial was in the Stop Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Breast Cancer Association.
