Mr. Jedediah Thane Criswell, age 22, Byrdstown, Tenn. and formerly, of Monticello, Ky., passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013 in Pickett County, Tenn. He was the son of Danny Criswell, of Monticello, Ky., and Rebecca (stepfather Eric) Riggle, of Byrdstown, Tenn.
He was of the Christian faith, and a 2008 graduate of Monticello High School. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather‹Vernon Smith; his paternal grandfather‹Dillard Criswell.
He is survived by his maternal grandmother‹Eula Smith, of Jamestown, Ky.; paternal grandmother‹Jewell Criswell, of Monticello, Ky.; two step-grandparents‹Bonnie and Phil Riggle, of Kewanna, Ind.; a brother‹Jason Criswell; and sister‹Chasity Criswell; two nieces‹Heaven Hunt and Presley Hunt; two nephews‹Colin Criswell and Cobain Hunt all of Monticello, Ky.; three aunts‹Carol (Donny) Reagan, of Johnson City, Tenn., Sharon (Arlie) Piercy, of Jamestown, Ky. and Cindy Stinson, of Monticello, Ky.; three uncles‹Kenneth Smith, Robert Smith and James (Jennifer) Smith, all of Monticello, Ky.; special friend‹Hope Piercy and many other friends and relatives.
Funeral services were held Sunday, January 20, 2013 at 3 p.m. CT in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Donny Reagan officiating. Burial was in The Memorial Hill Cemetery in Albany, Ky.
Pallbearers were‹Gary "Popcorn" Mullins, Bobby Hasty, Matt Olmstead, James Hurd, Mikey Guffey, Dana Brown and James Hunt.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate contributions to help pay funeral expenses and may be left at the funeral home.
