Mack Ward Lewis, age 84, of Monticello, KY., passed away Friday, January 25, 2013 at his home.
He was born May 6, 1928 the son of the late Bill and Lucy (Foster) Lewis.
He is survived by: his wife‹Leadora ³Dora² (Rigney) Lewis, of Monticello, Ky.; his daughter‹Shirley Carrender, of Monticello, Ky.; five grandchildren‹Lisa C. Perkins, Sheila C. Hicks, Robin C. Lewis, Tiffany C.
Patrick, and Nicole L. Smith; and 11 great-grandchildren‹Bryant Dunagan, Wesley and Jarrett Perkins, Holden and Tristan Patrick, Marissa, Mariah, and Maria Hicks, Jonathan, Josiah, and Caleb Smith; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by three sons‹Louis Hale, Glen David, and Leonard Ray Lewis; one great-grandchild‹Jeremy Hicks; two brothers‹ Claude and Clyde Lewis; and four sisters‹Opal Lewis, Doria Pryor, Flossie Taylor and Flonnie Kirk.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and making knives. He hauled logs and worked as a heavy equipment operator for Dallas Dean Construction Company until his retirement.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Koger Ramsey officiating. Burial was in the Tuttle¹s Chapel Cemetery.
Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
